Cosmetic products — responsibility
Cosmetic products placed on the market are covered, under Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, by a responsible person indicated on the packaging of each product (typically the manufacturer or brand distributor — Ella Baché, L.C.P Paris and others). The responsible person guarantees the safety of the product, completeness of its composition, safety assessment and notification of the product in the European Commission's CPNP register.
The provider, acting as a retail seller, takes over products from authorised distributors and ensures their storage in accordance with manufacturer's instructions (temperature, humidity, shelf life).
Out-of-court settlement of disputes
Consumers have the right to out-of-court settlement of disputes arising from the service agreement. The competent authority is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz). The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
